Maustin Park is situated at Kearby near Wetherby, a secluded backwater in the heart of Emmerdale Country, just across the River Wharfe from the Harewood House Estate, renowned for its Stately Home and Bird Garden.
We are set in the sheltered lower wharf valley, with the river wharf running between the park and the rugged ruin of Harewood Castle. To the west, Alsmscliffe's giant rock stands against the skyline and there are uninterrupted views to the east across the plain of York to the white horse of Kilburn.
Our award winning park is an ideal base for those wishing to explore the surrounding countryside. The 'Summerhouse' is packed full of information for interesting days out.
For those who enjoy a more leisurely way of life, why not just put your feet up and read one of the books from our library or just relax in the sunshine watching the resident bowlers on the bowling green. If you prefer a little retail therapy Harrogate is only a short drive away with a wide range of shops, bars and restaurants.
At Maustin we take looking after the environment very seriously and are proud to hold the David Bellamy Gold Award for Conservation – so look out for local flora and fauna. The Red Kites released into the wild from Harewood Bird Garden are a spectacular sight soaring high over Maustin Park on a daily basis.
